About

Acacia was born and raised in a small town nestled in the gold rush mountains of California, roaming the rivers and pretending to be a fairy, whisked off to a fantasy world. Her main love as a young girl was the classics of Jane Austen and Tolkien, but soon her love for books grew into all genres. She often wrote when inspired by something she read or saw, tucking poems or fanfiction into the books she loved most. And as her library grew, so did her appreciation for all literature. But most often, she uses her writing to cope with past trauma and help others work through their own.

When she was young, she wanted to be an English teacher more than anything, but once she and her husband bought a house, her love for architecture bloomed. Only now has she found the time to pick back up her passion for writing, which shows in her work.

When Acacia first started writing her first series in 2021, she was so lost in the world she was creating that she only drank coffee and ate canned peaches for three weeks while writing all three books. Then from there, the stories wouldn’t stop flowing. She prides herself on being a diverse writer because the world is a big beautiful place with many stories we need to see and explore. Her goal is to give fun, engaging stories where you can get lost in the world and forget for a while.

The Goddesses in the Moon Series is an excellent example of all things she loves most in literature. It is classic writing with our favorite tropes while showcasing her love for other cultures and love for modern classics as well. Emma, the Mummy, and Gladiator were her most significant influences for this series, and it shows how much she wanted you to fall in love with these characters. Not only that, but she turned the book on its head with the amount of spicy she added to the series, which only increases with every book.

However, her love for books isn’t the only thing she is known for. She expressed a deep love for antiques and old homes from a young age. She takes it as a personal mission to find and fix as many old things as possible. Throughout her life, she spent many days wandering the gardens of the Blair House, which was the house used for the TV show Murder She Wrote. Having grown up partially in that house, her love for old things spilled over into her renovating career. After many years in California, she and her family moved to a small island hidden in Michigan to give their kids the small-town feel they both missed from how fast their hometown expanded. Acacia and her husband took on the magnanimous task of restoring an old Island treasure to its former glory. Her goal for the house is to find a place she can tuck away a swoon-worthy library.
